MEET OUR GUEST CONDUCTOR

Matthew Karram

Matthew Karram is a music educator in Fort Perce, FL and has been teaching at Lincoln Park Academy since August 2014. He is originally from Flint, Michigan and attended the Michigan State University College of Music. Matthew completed his undergraduate studies in May 2013 and holds Bachelors of Music degrees in Music Education and Composition. 

Matthew has been a member of the Treasure Coast Symphony since Spring 2015 and also performs as part of the Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, St. John of the Cross Brass Ensemble, and the St. John of the Cross choir. His original compositions are self published and have been performed by several groups in the Treasure Coast area.
As a student at Michigan State, Matthew was a member of the MSU Concert and Symphony Bands, the MSU Men’s Glee Club, Spartan Chamber Chorus Ensemble, Novum Voce collegiate choir, and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble. He studied tuba with Phil Sinder and composition with Dr. Mark Sullivan. His conducting professors included Dr. Cormac Cannon and John Madden.

Matthew is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Florida Music Educators Association, and the Florida Bandmasters Association. He serves as the treasurer and webmaster for the Florida Bandmasters Association - District 13.
